Roy Grace (aka BOHNTR) and his wife had a fun Kansas hunt. He posted in the forum the following....

"Kansas Archery Hunt - I took my wife (Anne) on her first whitetail hunt in Kansas this past week. We stayed with some gracious friends and hunted some really neat ground (both private and public). Anne was able to arrow her 4x6 buck at 35 yards while on the ground after I grunted him in for her. He was heart shot and only made it 10 yards. She was pumped!

After she had one down, I hunted for a few days, but most of the big bucks had does pinned down. On my last day, I stalked in on a giant 10 point (155" class) in the wide open prairie only to have the doe bust out at my feet in the tall weeds/grass. However, this 8-point was also bedded nearby, and when he stood, I let him have it. We had a great time and will enjoy some fine table fare."
