Jared has started off this year with a bang! He has taken two great toms already and plans to take some more great animals before the year is out.
Bird 1:
Jared writes, "I was able to connect with this big SD Merriams Tom on April 29th in SD. After setting up my blind and decoys I began calling. Shortly thereafter, I was able to lure this Tom into bow range. It all worked out perfect; I was able to take this mature Tom with a 40 yard shot that had me admiring his beauty. This would be the prettiest Tom to date!"
Bird 2:
Jared writes, "On May 4th I went to a ranch where I had hunted a week prior. At 5 pm I set my blind and decoys up near a favorite roosting area that the birds have been using. As I was setting up, the rain set in and I got cozey and waited for the turkeys to make their move. Shortly thereafter I noticed a large group of Jakes feeding my direction. When they noticed the decoys it was "hook, line, and sinker!" It didn't take them long to close the distance to 20 yards and I picked the largest of the group and introduced him to my broadhead.
