Erick Panelli writes, "I was extremely lucky this year.....I made my first trip to Africa and harvested 10 animals with my bow and topped it off with a Nevada Desert Bighorn Sheep Tag. My only problem was that I only had weekends to hunt. I had used all of my vacation time on my Africa Safari. On Saturday 11-26-05, Mel found my ram early that morning and up the mountain I went. After hiking for about 5 hours up this steep mountain, I was finally in position to take the shot. He was about 300 yards up and across a canyon bedded down with five other rams. I shot three times with my rifle and I have no idea when I hit him, and I only found one perfectly placed hit. I had to leave him on the mountain that night and Mel called his brother, my dad and my wife for help!!! They all showed up the next morning, but only two of us went up the mountain. Clint Belding and I hiked four more hours up to him and another 2.5 hours off the mountain with the Ghost.
