Jerry Holton, aka supersider34, writes, "Here is a picture of my son's first bear and also mine. His has excellent field photos. My son is the man. He shot this bear after sitting on a bait site with me. And, made a excellent shot right threw the boiler maker. Perfect shot!
We were sitting about 23 yards from the bait on the ground and my son was not even scared that this was to close. He had a 10 yard recovery. I am very proud of my son for doing a awesome job with his sitting for several hours and for being very steady on the shot. He will be a way better shot than Dad, I will admit that. He took this bear on May 30th at 8:10 p.m. He shot his with a 243.
My bear was taken when I went in to restock the bait site. I shot mine on May 18th. The bear was camped out on the bait site and he was there at 11:00 a.m. I shot mine with the wife and kids 243. I did not expect to see a bear at this time of day on the bait site."
