Cody Nelson writes, "Me and my dad (Bernie) made a trip to Montana and I got my first deer and he got his biggest. I spotted mine around 1500 yards away in the morning, but he headed away from us and up a mountain. About 5 hours later I spotted a doe across the valley and my dad spotted my buck coming back from where we saw him earlier. Long story short, he got 240 yards from me and I decided I should take him on the first real day of our hunt.

We spotted dads at 1400 yards, made a quick stalk and at 700 yards he was making his way across the mountain in the trees. Ended up on his trail and spotted him 136 yards away and dropped him."
