Oren Gatten writes, "Here’s a picture of a free range Aoudad from West Texas. I was impressed at how difficult they are to spot and get close to. They have an incredible ability to quickly disappear and are one of the toughest critters to knock down I have ever pursued. This ram took three well placed shots before lying down. Aoudad were imported from the mountains of the Barbary Coast in Africa and are doing well in parts of Texas and New Mexico. A big ram can weigh over 300 lbs! It was an incredible hunting opportunity. I’d recommend it to anyone who is willing to take on the challenge!"
