Robin Newlen writes, "I was drawn for the late season G6 Kern River Buck Hunt in California. I was a little disappointed because it interferred with our usual Colorado deer and elk hunt. My husband (Kevin Newlen) assured me this was an awesome opportunity. We loaded up our two young boys and headed out opening morning for a four day hunt. The first day was what I had expected, very few bucks and small ones at that. Our second day brought a storm that cleared by late afternoon. We were all pretty wet still from being stuck in the middle of this storm earlier that day in a canyon we were walking. On our way back camp this is what I saw and was able to harvest. He's heavy 6x6, 28-1/8 inch spread, with an unofficial green score of 181."
