Brian Fisher writes, "This was my first trip to Colorado ever! We had tags for public land in southwest Colorado.
I had seen several bucks while hunting this area, but all were spikes and forks. On the 2nd to last day of our hunt I was sitting and glassing when I spotted this guy moving away from me about 600 yards away. I got up and started after him. After a 100 yards or so I lost sight of him, but continued on my stalk.
When I got to the area that I thought he should be, I eased over a hill and saw him lying down about 75 yards away. As I readied for the shot he jumped up and bounded away. Two of my three shots found there mark and he folded about 25 yards from where I jumped him. Not a great trophy for many, but for me he definately was and concluded an awesome hunt and experience!"
