Hunter, Gary Wilcox Sr. shot this old buck who had only three bottom teeth, all of which were about to fall out. On November 11, 2006, this buck fell to his old .270 on a strange day around the Reno area with a storm moving in and smoke from an area fire blanketing the Truckee Meadows. This 5x7, 27-1/2 inch wide buck fell to the disbelief of Gary. It was a special time for all, including his son Gary Jr. who flew up from dental school for a quick hunting trip which turned out to be way more than he had bargained for. Along with Big Gary and Gary Jr., was close family friend, myself (Donny Atkinson), who has those two to thank for getting me outdoors and experiencing the hunting lifestyle."
