In 2005, Scott Rouse, aka couesbitten, decided to try a new spot where he had seen a big buck while returning from their elk hunt. He located a great looking draw and he, his son, and his buddy, began working their way up through the sage draw.
They were about 3 miles into their walk when Scott noticed another hunter hunting down from above. So, they decided to hold tight and see if the other hunter would spook anything their way.

Several minutes later, here came a big buck. It was headed towards Scott's buddy, but then turned and headed straight towards Scott and his boy. Scott's son tried to get a shot, but it just didn't happen, so Scott put the fine buck down.
